Quantitative DigitoGraphy (QDG) Receives FDA Breakthrough Device Designation

Helen Bronte-Stewart and her team pass a significant milestone for QDG, a monitoring system for Parkinson's disease, to bring this tool to patients and their families.

The Quantitative DigitoGraphy (QDG), a comprehensive, real-time monitoring system for Parkinson's disease that uses Stanford Spezi modules and can integrate into Epic, has received FDA Breakthrough Device Designation. This milestone accelerates the path to market and to patients and families who desperately need this solution. It also is a demonstration that Stanford Spezi can be used in digital health systems that can pass regulatory hurdles.

Congratulations to Helen Bronte-Stewart MD MSE, FAAN, FANA, Jeremy Revlock, Shreesh Karjagi, Aarushi Negi, Annie Abay, Aryaman Gala, Kerry Daley, Simon Revlock, Christopher Coriz, Vishnu Ravi, MD, Warren Hiemstra, Jonathan Muddle, and so many others who are part of this fantastic team. Andreas Bauer also played a pivotal role in this project by applying our Bluetooth module. We are excited about the next steps for QDG and digital health! 🚀
